FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

A SERIES OF STORMS ARE SET TO MOVE THROUGH OUR AREA INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK AND BEYOND, WITH THE EXACT TIMING OF SOME STILL IN DOUBT. WHAT IS NOT IN DOUBT HOWEVER, IS THAT WE WILL HAVE AN ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN FOR SOME TIME TO COME WITH LOTS OF SNOW IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AND RAIN / SNOW IN THE VALLEYS. FOR TODAY, SHOWERS LIKELY, LEADING TO ISOLATED SHOWERS THIS EVENING. CLEARING CONDITIONS ON TUESDAY, THEN THE NEXT SYSTEM DUE IN IS ON TUESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. THEN ANOTHER SYSTEM MOVES IN ON FRIDAY. STILL ANOTHER ON SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY AND MONDAY INTO TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. THERE WILL SOME BREAKS IN THE ACTION BETWEEN STORMS, BUT FEBRUARY IS SHAPING UP TO BE A REAL WET ONE WITH YET ANOTHER SYSTEM DUE IN NEXT THURSDAY.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: PARTLY SUNNY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF SHOWERS. HIGHS AROUND 38. NORTHWEST WIND 8 - 13 MPH.
TONIGHT: CLOUDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS BECOMING MAINLY CLEAR. LOWS AROUND 18. NORTHWEST WIND 6 - 9 MPH.
TUESDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY WITH HIGHS AROUND 43. SOUTH WIND 6 MPH.
TUESDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS. EVENING LOWS AROUND 25. SOUTHWEST WIND 8 MPH.

FOR MAMMOTH LAKES:

TODAY: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS. HIGHS AROUND 21. WEST WIND 15 MPH.
