What is Santa bring you?

My wife knows I have everything I need, but asked me to just go, buy and wrap a few goodies for myself and place them under the tree. I think she is tired of my taking her camping crap offerings back and returning them.
Anyway, went to the local REI...spent 3 hours wandering -(Local "20% off" one item thing.)
In all that time, all I could find that I really needed was a new pair of Black Diamond poles...graphite.
Anybody else in the same dilemma?

Oh, I did see a kayak too, but...

My Christmas gift situation is something like Marks. She has realized that it's better for me to go and get what I want than to surprise me with stuff that just collects dust in the garage. Last month I found a very good price on a 5pc flyrod / reel for backpacking and last week I got a new pair of hiking boots. There may end up being a little surprise under the tree but otherwise I think I've got what I'm getting :D

Well, of course I'd like World Peace and Justice for All, but if I can't have that, I want a SPOT. :)

Missing in the Minarets by William Alsup. My son got the last copy for me from the Yosemite Association. They said they're not going to print anymore. Not available on Amazon or Barnes & Nobel, etc. So I guess I got the last one.

Thanks. Looks like there is one new one out there (the rest are used, nothing wrong with that). The new one is $80.00

Tried to get stocking stuffers for me, my wife, and son: 3/8 brown trout Kastmasters to supplement the Z-Ray supply. Couldn't find any of this pattern at my local stores, though. The usual REI trip resulted in a very nice hiking shirt for my wife.

For xmas I got SnowDude back home, for a few weeks. And got a 4 week trip to Australia and Tasmania, a month early. :D

I got some REI gift cards from people at work, which paid for my REI Tuka rainpants. They had my size, and the length was perfect (short). Really nice for weather up here in Mammoth.

It was 10 deg on my way back from Mono Lake at 5pm, and 3 deg at 7:45pm going to Convict Lake for dinner. Its cold here!
