The Hikin' Mike Update Thread

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Tomorrow's the big day, Mike! Best of luck to you!! Hopefully there will be another cancellation and you'll be able to get the other knee done early also; you'll be hiking by summer! :)

We are all extremely blessed to live in a time when medical science can perform such amazing "fixes".

Here's to Mike getting better and back on the trails of Yosemite!

Mike - I'll say a prayer that all goes well for you today. I'm looking forward to seeing you back on the trail once you get better.

I was just wondering about that too!

I recieved this e-mail today...
"Michael,

This is Stacy (Mike's wife). He asked me to email you to let you know that his surgery had gone well. He is back from Stanford now. He is in a rehabilitation hospital about 10 minutes from our house. Not able to move around very much yet. I think he is supposed be there for a couple of weeks.

Stacy"
