FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY
PROVIDED BY DENNIS MATTINSON
EASTERN SIERRA WEATHER FORECASTER

MONDAY, 08-DEC-08, 7:04

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN PROVIDING US WITH DRY CONDITIONS AND PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND WARMING TEMPERATURES ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. TODAY HOWEVER, WE WE WILL BE EFFECTED BY A TROUGH MOVING THROUGH UTAH GIVING US SOME WINDY CONDITIONS IN THE VALLEYS AND OVER THE CREST. ON FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY A DEVELOPING TROUGH OUT OF ALASKA WILL BRING US SOME COOL AIR AND THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AND THE VALLEYS.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: PARTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 61. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.
TONIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE MID TO LOW 20S. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 25.
TUESDAY: SUNNY. DAYTIME HIGHS AROUND 50. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.
TUESDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. EVENING LOWS NEAR 22. NORTH WIND 3 - 5 MPH.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 40. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.
TONIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR WITH EVENING LOWS AROUND 22. NORTH WIND 5 - 10 MPH.
TUESDAY: SUNNY SKIES WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 45. EAST WIND 5 MPH.
TUESDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. EVENING LOWS NEAR 23. CALM WIND.

FOR THE REST OF MONO COUNTY:

TODAY: PARTLY SUNNY WITH HIGHS RANGING FROM 37 - 47. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 30 WITH RIDGE TOP GUSTS TO 50.
TONIGHT: CLEAR WITH LOWS FROM 12 TO 22. NORTH WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 30 WITH RIDGE TOP GUSTS TO 70.
