FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES TODAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH MOSTLY FAIR SKIES AND DRY WEATHER. A WEAK LITTLE SHORTWAVE OFF THE COAST WILL PASS BY ON THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY, MAKING FRIDAY THE COOLEST DAY WE HAVE HAD IN A WHILE. EVEN WITH THE COOL DOWN, WE ARE STILL GOING TO BE SOME 3- 5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. ALL OF THIS IS DUE TO A LARGE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ANCHORED OFF THE WEST COAST.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 62. SOUTH WIND 5 MPH.
TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE UPPER 20S. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 8 MPH.
THURSDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. DAYTIME HIGHS AROUND 61. NORTHWEST WIND 7 - 10 MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. EVENING LOWS NEAR 28. NORTHWEST WIND 7 - 9 MPH.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

TODAY: SUNNY SKIES WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 47. CALM WIND.
TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH EVENING LOWS AROUND 25. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 MPH.
THURSDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 43. NORTH WIND 5 MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. EVENING LOWS NEAR 18. NORTHEAST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.
