FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING NORTH OUT OF THE GULF OF BAJA WILL GIVE IS AN INCREASE IN CLOUDS AND A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE CREST TODAY. WITH SOME STRONG AND LONG LIVED CELL DEVELOPMENT, ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING IS STILL A POTENTIAL ISSUE IN SOME AREAS TODAY. WITH A DRIER SOUTHWEST FLOW ON FRIDAY THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY SHOULD BEGIN TO DIMINISH INTO THE WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES SHOULD RUN A FEW DEGREES COOLER IN MONO COUNTY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: PARTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPTATION IS ABOUT 20%. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S (AROUND 97) AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 60S. SOUTH WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY AND HOT. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S (AROUND 98) AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 60S. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPT 30%. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 77 EVENING LOWS AROUND 51. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 25.

TOMORROW FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 10% CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 74 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 50. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.
