FORECAST 06-AUG-08

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

AND OF COURSE, FORECAST TEMPERATURES WILL VARY GREATLY DEPENDING ON CLOUD COVER.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: PARTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPT IS ABOUT 20%. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 90S (AROUND 96) AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOW 60S. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY SUNNY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPT 40%. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 77 EVENING LOWS AROUND 56. WEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON.

TOMORROW FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND T-STORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 76 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 52. SOUTHWEST WIND 15 - 20 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY CLOUDY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 81 - 91 AND EVENING LOWS 45 - 55. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.
