FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

THERE WILL BE AN ON-GOING THREAT OF AFTERNOON T-STORM ACTION OVER THE MOUNTAINS TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY WITH THE BIGGEST THREAT COMING ON WEDNESDAY. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR ISOLATED HEAVY RAIN FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WITH FLASH FLOODING A REMOTE POSSIBILITY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE A BIT TRICKY TO PREDICT, LARGELY DEPENDENT ON HOW MUCH CLOUD COVER THERE IS OVER A PARTICULAR AREA. ON FRIDAY THINGS START TO DRY OUT WITH THAT TREND CONTINUING THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: PARTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS AND T-STORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPT IS ABOUT 20%. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 90S (AROUND 95) AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOW 60S. SOUTHEAST WIND 5- 11 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: PARTLY SUNNY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND T-STORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 90S (AROUND 95) AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 60S. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 - 20 MPH.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY SUNNY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 30% CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND T-STORMS THIS AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPT 40% THIS EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 EVENING LOWS AROUND 50. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.
