FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN ANCHORED OVER THE FOUR CORNERS AREA GIVING US LITTLE CHANCE IN OUR WEATHER PATTERN. SO, WARM CONDITIONS FOR THE VALLEYS AND THE HIGH COUNTRY WITH AREAS OF SMOKE AND HAZE CONTINUING TO PLAGUE PARTS OF THE FORECAST AREA AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. NOT MUCH GOING ON INTO THE FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND EXCEPT THE OWENS VALLEY MAY REACH THE CENTURY MARK DURING THAT TIME PERIOD. LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING WESTERLIES WILL SET UP EACH DAY WITH THE THERMAL TROUGH OVER THE GREAT BASIN GIVING THE MONO COUNTY HIGH COUNTRY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF ISOLATED T-STORM ACTIVITY THROUGH THE WEEK.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH AREAS OF CONTINUED SMOKE AND HAZE. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 50S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY AND HOT WITH TEMPS NEAR THE CENTURY MARK. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 50S. NORTHWEST WIND 3 - 8 MPH.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH WIDESPREAD HAZE AND SMOKE. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 EVENING LOWS AROUND 47. WEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY SUNNY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH A 20 % CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 78 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 49. WEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY SUNNY SKIES AND HAZY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 78 - 88 EVENING LOWS 42 - 52. WEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.
