FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

MONDAY, 30-JUN-08, 7:12 AM

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN A LITTLE ABOVE NORMAL AND THERE WILL BE A CONTINUED CHANCE OF ISOLATED AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS IN THE HIGH COUNTRY TODAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OFF THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST LIFTS INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. WITH ALL OF THIS, WINDS WILL INCREASE IN BOTH THE VALLEYS AND THE HIGH COUNTRY TODAY. BY JULY 4TH AND INTO THE WEEKEND, AN UPPER RIDGE WILL BUILD OVER THE WEST KEEPING TEMPERATURES ON THE WARM SIDE.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WITH AREAS OF CONTINUED SMOKE. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 50S. SOUTHEAST WIND 11 - 18 MPH DURING THE DAY BECOMING NORTHEAST 6 - 9 MPH THIS EVENING.

TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY AND HOT. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 50S. SOUTHEAST WIND 6 - 11 MPH.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH HAZY CONDITIONS. CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 EVENING LOWS AROUND 49. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.

TOMORROW FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 74 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 47. WEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY SUNNY SKIES AND HAZY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 78 - 88 EVENING LOWS 39 - 49. WEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 77 - 87 AND EVENING LOWS 39 - 49. WEST WIND 10 MPH.
