FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

MONDAY, 23-JUN-08, 7:10 AM

A FEW UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THIS WILL KEEP THINGS DRY IN THE OWENS VALLEY BUT CREATE SOME BREEZY CONDITIONS ON TUESDAY AND AN ON-GOING SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MONO COUNTY HIGH COUNTRY. A WEAK CLOSED LOW OF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL DEVELOP BY THURSDAY OR FRIDAY AND THIS WILL MAINTAIN THAT SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN HIGH COUNTRY OVER THE WEEKEND.

TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WITH AREAS OF SMOKE PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTHERN OWENS VALLEY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 50S. SOUTHWEST WIND 7 - 11 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY AND HOT. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 50S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 -15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.

TODAY FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 EVENING LOWS AROUND 48. WEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF T-STORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 49. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 78 - 88 EVENING LOWS 33 - 43. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 78 - 88 AND EVENING LOWS 32 -42. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 20.
