A WEAK SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST INTO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TODAY FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER TOMORROW. THESE DRY SYSTEMS WILL HAVE LITTLE MOISTURE IMPACT TO OUR FORECAST AREA BUT AN INCREASE IN THE WINDS. THE SECOND SYSTEM ON WEDNESDAY WILL PUSH THROUGH A LITTLE FARTHER SOUTH AND MOVE OUT OF OUR AREA, INTO 4-CORNERS, ON THURSDAY. A WIND ADVISORY HAS BEEN HOISTED FOR 10 AM THIS MORNING THROUGH 3AM PDT THURSDAY. NOT MUCH CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS, MAYBE A BIT COOLER ON WEDNESDAY. I EXPECT ANOTHER WEAK SYSTEM TO PUSH THROUGH THE PACNW ON FRIDAY KEEPING THINGS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL IN TEMPERATURE INTO SATURDAY AND A BIT BREEZY, BUT NOT TO ADVISORY LEVELS.
TODAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. BREEZY CONDITIONS IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 80S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 50S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH INCREASING TO 20 - 25.
TOMORROW FOR THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY AND BREEZY AGAIN. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH INCREASING TO 20 - 25 GUSTING TO 30.
