Plowing done on Tioga Pass Rd?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Plowing done on Tioga Pass Rd?

Post by SteveB »

On checking the plowing update for Tioga Pass Rd, it says they are 43 miles from Crane Flat. Since it's 45 miles between Crane Flat and 120/395 intersection, ya think that means plowing is done? :) Sure, there's other work to be done, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any inside info... ;-)

I would say...based upon the Tioga Pass webcam, that they are getting pretty darn close. As I recall from last year, it still took them several weeks from plowing the area at the webcam to the actual road opening.
