FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO AMPLIFY ALONG THE WEST COAST TODAY THEN ITS AXIS WILL MOVE ON SHORE SATURDAY CREATING CLEAR SKIES, LIGHT WINDS AND A WARMING TREND THROUGH AT LEAST SUNDAY. TODAY'S TEMPERATURES WILL BE SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN YESTERDAYS WITH MORE SUBSTANTIAL WARMING ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. ITS GOING TO BE A "GO DO IT" OPENING DAY WEEKEND FOR SURE. THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES THE NORTHWEST COAST ON MONDAY AND MOVES OVER THE WESTERN U.S. ON TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY CONTINUING THE DRY TREND AND GIVING US GUSTY WINDS WITH A LOW RH. COULD BE A PERIOD OF FIRE CONCERN HERE FOR OUR AREA. TEMPERATURES WILL STILL REMAIN ON THE WARM SIDE INTO TUESDAY.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 40S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 7 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 40S. NORTHWEST WIND 3 - 5 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 54 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 36. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 60 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 38. EAST WIND 5 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 57 - 67 AND EVENING LOWS 27 - 37. NORTH WIND 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 63 - 73 AND EVENING LOWS 31 -41. NORTHEAST WIND 10 MPH.

SATURDAY FOR CROWLEY LAKE: SUNNY SKIES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 68 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 27. NORTHEAST WIND TO ABOUT 10 MPH.
