FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

THAT MOISTURE STARVED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE THROUGH THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF OUR FORECAST AREA TODAY WITH SOME CLOUDS BANKING UP AGAINST THE CREST. IT WILL BE FOLLOWED BY AN INCREASE IN WINDS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. MAMMOTH RECEIVED ONE INCH OF NEW SNOW LAST NIGHT AND CAN EXPECT ISOLATED SNOW SHOWERS TODAY. BY THURSDAY HIGH PRESSURE BEGINS TO SET UP AND ON FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY, IT MOVES INLAND. THIS WILL GIVES US WARMING TEMPERATURES AND AND CLEAR SKIES. LOOKS PERFECT FOR THE FISHING OPENER WITH SUNDAY BEING THE WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEKEND.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH INCREASING TO 15 - 20 GUSTING TO 25.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH BECOMING CALM.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS DURING THE DAY, THEN CLEARING TONIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 43 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 24. SOUTHWEST WIND 15 - 20 MPH GUSTING TO 30.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 48 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 26. WEST WIND 5 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND WINDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SCATTERED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS DURING THE DAY THEN GRADUAL CLEARING OVERNIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 41 - 52 AND EVENING LOWS 18 - 26. SOUTHWEST WIND 15 - 20 MPH GUSTING TO 40 THEN REDUCING TO 10 - 15 TONIGHT.

TOMORROW FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 53 - 63 AND EVENING LOWS 18 -28. WEST WIND 10 MPH.
