FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

WINDS WILL DECREASE TODAY AND TEMPERATURES WILL WARM UP A FEW DEGREES INTO TUESDAY MIDDAY. I EXPECT ANOTHER POSSIBLE ROUND OF WINDY CONDITIONS AND THE CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AND THE VALLEYS ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY AS A TROUGH OUT OF THE GULF OF ALASKA SHIFTS EAST ACROSS THE WESTERN STATES. THE WINDS SHOULD NOT BE AS HIGH AS LAST SATURDAYS AND AS MENTIONED THERE IS A CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS SPILLING OVER THE SIERRA CREST THROUGH WEDNESDAY. AFTER THAT, QUIET WEATHER IS EXPECTED THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WITH TEMPERATURES WARMING UP TO AS MUCH AS 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 60S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 30S. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 28.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 46 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 28. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY SUNNY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 50% CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 47 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 29. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 20 MPH GUSTING TO 30.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 47 - 57 AND EVENING LOWS 21 - 31. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MONO COUNTY: PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY AND WINDY WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 50 -60 AND EVENING LOWS 18 -28. SOUTHWEST WIND 15 - 25 GUSTING TO 35 IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
