FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

AN UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVERHEAD WILL PROVIDE US WITH A DRY AND MILD DAY TODAY. A WEAK SHORTWAVE TROUGH WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTH LATER TODAY WEAKENING THAT RIDGE SOMEWHAT AND BRINGING WITH IT GUSTY WINDS INTO SATURDAY. A FOLLOWING TROUGH WILL PASS THROUGH THE PNW ON MONDAY CONTINUING THE TREND OF GUSTY WINDS. THEN ON TUESDAY A DEEPER TROUGH WILL BRUSH OUR AREA GIVING US COOLER TEMPS AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AND THE VALLEYS. RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS TO BE DRY ON WEDNESDAY WITH A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING BACK IN ON THURSDAY.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. SOUTHWEST WIND 7 -12 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 70S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 30S. NORTHWEST WIND 6 - 11 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY AND BREEZY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 46 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 23. SOUTHWEST WIND 15 - 20 MPH GUSTING TO 30.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 49 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 25. WEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TODAY FOR MONO COUNTY: SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY AND A BIT WINDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 53 - 63 AND EVENING LOWS 22 - 32. LIGHT WIND BECOMING SOUTHWEST 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 40 WITH RIDGE TOP GUSTS TO 60.
