FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

TUESDAY, APRIL 1, 2008 7:10 AM

WEAK RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL HOLD FOR MOST OF THE DAY. THEN AN INCREASE IN CLOUDS IN THE HIGH COUNTRY LATE THIS AFTERNOON AS THE NEXT PACIFIC STORM BEGINS TO EFFECT US ON WEDNESDAY. MOST IF NOT ALL THE MOISTURE WILL SPLIT OFF TO THE NORTH, BUT THERE IS STILL A CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS IN MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY WEDNESDAY AND LIGHT RAIN IN THE OWENS VALLEY. DRY AND WARMING CONDITIONS ON THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AS RIDGING BUILDS IN OVER CENTRAL CALIFORNIA.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: PARTLY SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE LOWER 30S. WIND BECOMING NORTHEAST 5 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 40% CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 50S AND EVENING LOWS IN THE MID 30S. LIGHT WIND BECOMING SOUTHWEST WIND 10 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: PARTLY SUNNY BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 50% CHANCE OF SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS AFTER MIDNIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 45 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 18. SOUTH WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES: MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 60% CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 40 AND EVENING LOWS AROUND 21. SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH BECOMING CALM.
