FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MONO COUNTY AND MAMMOTH

BROADCASTING FOUR TIMES A DAY ON THE SIERRAWAVE 92.5 / 96.5 FM

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2008 7:10 AM

A WEAK TROUGH WILL PASS THROUGH OUR AREA TODAY WITH LITTLE CHANGE IN TEMPERATURES AND AN INCREASE IN HIGH CLOUDS. HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN PRODUCE DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS ON FRIDAY BEFORE ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM APPROACHES THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING INCREASING CLOUDS AND WINDY CONDITIONS TO OUR AREA ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT. OTHERWISE, OUR DRY TREND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 68 AND EVENING LOWS NEAR 32. NORTHWEST WIND 8 -11 MPH.

FRIDAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 69 AND EVENING LOWS NEAR 34. NORTH WIND 9 - 14 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: SUNNY BLUE SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 56 IN TOWN AND 65 FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. EVENING LOWS RANGING FROM 16 - 26. NORTH WIND 10 MPH.

FRIDAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY IN THE EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 51 IN TOWN AND 61 FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. EVENING LOWS RANGING FROM 20 - 30. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 30 IN THE AFTERNOON.
