FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH AREA

A DRY POLAR AIR MASS IS CURRENTLY OVER THE GREAT BASIN TOGETHER WITH A WEAK SHORTWAVE RIDGE OVER OUR AREA WILL GIVE OUR AREA CONTINUED DRY CONDITIONS, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND COOL TEMPS THROUGH THURSDAY.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 50S. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 20 - 30. NORTHWEST WIND 5 - 8 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 60S. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 21 - 33. NORTHWEST WIND 6 - 10 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 42 FOR THE TOWN AND 53 FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 17 - 25. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 45 FOR THE TOWN AND THE 55 FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 16 - 24. WEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

BY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, A TROUGH DROPPING SOUTH INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL COMBINE WITH A UPPER LOW OFF THE BAJA COAST AND SHIFT NORTH EASTWARD INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. THIS WILL GIVE THE HIGH COUNTRY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AND KEEP TEMPERATURES QUITE COOL. THE OWENS VALLEY SHOULD ONLY SEE CLOUDY SKIES.
