FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH AREA

LAST UPDATE: 7:48 AM PST NOV 26, 2007

WEAK HIGH PRESSURE OVER OUR AREA TODAY THEN A STORM MOVES OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST TUESDAY RESULTING IN VARIABLE HIGH CLOUDS AND BREEZY CONDITIONS IN OUR HIGH COUNTRY AND VALLEYS. DRY CONDITIONS SHOULD CONTINUE.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE LOWER 60S AND LOWS IN THE MID 20S. LIGHT WIND.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 60S AND LOWS IN THE LOWER 20S. NORTH WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: SUNNY SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 40S FOR THE TOWN AND THE MID 50S FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 16 - 26. EAST WIND 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 40 FOR THE TOWN AND THE 50 FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 13 - 24. NORTH WIND 10 - 15 GUSTING UP TO 50 MPH OVER THE CREST LATER IN THE EVENING.

CONTINUED COOL AND DRY ON WEDNESDAY, THEN LATE THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY ANOTHER TROUGH PASSES THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST GIVING THE HIGH COUNTRY PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. A SECOND DISTURBANCE MOVES IN ON FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY AND THIS ONE COULD BRING A CHANCE OF SNOW TO MAMMOTH AND THE HIGH COUNTRY. OTHERWISE DRY CONDITIONS WITH MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES FOR THE OWENS VALLEY.
