TODAY A VERY LOW AMPLITUDE RIDGE WILL FORM OVER CENTRAL CALIFORNIA GIVING US NICE FALL WEATHER, PARTICULARLY IN THE OWENS VALLEY. HOWEVER, A FAST HITTING STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH ON FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY WITH MOST OF THE MOISTURE REMAINING TO OUR NORTH. HOWEVER, POTENTIAL DOWN SLOPE CONDITIONS PRODUCING HIGH WINDS ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY IN MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. MAMMOTH COULD PICK UP A FEW INCHES OF SNOW FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY BLUE SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 75 AND LOW TEMPERATURES AROUND 37. NORTH WIND 5 - 7 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 76 AND LOW TEMPERATURES AROUND 39. SOUTHWEST WIND 7 - 11 MPH.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: MOSTLY SUNNY BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 54 FOR THE TOWN AND 65 FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 31 - 40. WEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH GUSTING TO 30 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH LAKES AND THE MONO VALLEYS: PARTLY SUNNY IN THE MORNING BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY IN THE AFTERNOON AND WINDY. RAIN AND SNOW LIKELY LATE IN THE EVENING WITH SNOW LEVELS DOWN TO 8,500 FEET. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 60 FOR THE TOWN AND 71 FOR THE VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 27 - 38. SOUTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH INCREASING TO 20 - 30 WITH GUSTS TO 50 AND 85 MPH OVER THE CREST.

A STRONG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN OVER THE WEST COAST ON SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY GIVING ALL AREAS WARM, CLEAR INDIAN SUMMER CONDITIONS. THE OWENS VALLEY COULD SEE TEMPERATURES RISE TO THE LOW 80S BY TUESDAY AND MAMMOTH THE MID 60S.
