Eastern Sierra Weather in late October?

I would appreciate hearing any opinions on probable weather conditions on the JMT between Bishop and Taboose passes 10/19 - 10/21. I'm considering doing this as a marathon weekend (~45 miles) but am concerned about the possibility of heavy snow. I expect it will be cold and could rain or snow but I'm hoping to do it light and fast with just boots and no snowshoes or skies. Are there any sites with snowpack archives where past seasons could be researched? Thanks for any suggestions or personal experiences.

In most years you would be fine. However this season things seem to be setting up for large dump of snow around that time.

Snowman,
Thank you very much for that forecast and the excellent links. Is there some background I can link to for the "Extended Forecast" referred to in the Special Weather Statement?

Regards,
