WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH AREA

NOTE: THIS WILL BE MY LAST FORECAST UNTIL 10/03/07 AS I WILL BE ON VACATION.

BEAUTIFUL FALL WEATHER IS IN STORE FOR US THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY. A SLIGHT WARMING TREND IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE PERIOD WITH COOL NIGHTS AND WARM DAYS. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT TO MODERATE AND THE SKIES WILL BE MOSTLY CLEAR.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY BLUE SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70S AND LOWS IN THE LOWER 40S. NORTHWEST WIND 5 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES ONCE AGAIN. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 80. LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 40S. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND VARIABLE.

TODAY FOR MAMMOTH AND THE MONO VALLEYS: MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 59 FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND THE UPPER 60S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 32 - 42. WINDS CALM BECOMING NORTH @ 5 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR MAMMOTH AND THE MONO VALLEYS: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 65 FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND THE MID 70S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 33 - 43. WINDS FROM THE NORTH @ 5 - 10 MPH.

STARTING ON FRIDAY, A SERIES OF BRUSH-BY SHORTWAVES WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. NO MOISTURE IS EXPECTED IN OUR AREA THROUGH THE WEEKEND, BUT WINDS FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL PICK UP IN THE AFTERNOONS AND TEMPERATURES WILL DROP DOWN TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL. ON MONDAY THERE WILL BE A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION IN THE NORTHERN PORTION OF MONO COUNTY WITH A CONTINUATION OF DRY WEATHER AND COOL TEMPERATURES IN THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH.
