WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH AREA

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORM ACTION CONTINUES TODAY BEFORE A DRY REGIME TAKES HOLD THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. MANY LOCATIONS IN THE VALLEY WILL SEE THE 100 DEGREE MARK OR HIGHER THROUGH THE PERIOD. THE HIGH COUNTRY WILL SEE A CONTINUATION OF ISOLATED T-STORM ACTIVITY THROUGH FRIDAY.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNSHINE MIXED WITH CLOUDS. 20% CHANCE OF AN AFTERNOON OR EVENING THUNDERSTORM. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 94. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 54 - 63. SOUTH SOUTHWEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: SUNNY SKIES AND HOT. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 99. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 58 - 64. SOUTH WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

TODAY FOR THE MAMMOTH AREA: SUNNY IN THE MORNING LEADING TO A 20% CHANCE OF AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 79 FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND THE UPPER 80S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 50 - 61. WEST WIND 5 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE MAMMOTH AREA: 10% CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MORNING. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 80 FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND THE LOW 90S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 51 - 62. WEST WIND 5 - 10 MPH.

SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY A DRY SOUTHWEST FLOW MOVES IN BETWEEN AN UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE DESERT SOUTHWEST AND TROUGHING OFF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST. MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS AND HOT TEMPERATURES WILL PREVAIL WITH NO PRECIPITATION FOR BOTH THE OWENS VALLEY AND HIGH COUNTRY.
