WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY AND MAMMOTH AREA

A DRY WEST TO NORTHWEST FLOW WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT OUR AREA LEADING TO ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH THURSDAY. THERE WILL BE LITTLE CHANGE IN OUR WEATHER FROM YESTERDAY WITH CONTINUED CLEAR SKIES AND COOL NIGHTS IN STORE FOR US.

TODAY FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 102. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 55 - 63. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR BISHOP AND THE OWENS VALLEY: MOSTLY SUNNY AGAIN. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 100. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 56 - 62. NORTHWEST WIND 10 - 15 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON.

TODAY FOR THE MAMMOTH AREA: SUNNY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80S FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND LOW 90S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 48 - 55. WEST WIND 05 - 10 MPH.

TOMORROW FOR THE MAMMOTH AREA: SUNNY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80S FOR THE MAIN LODGE AND LOW 90S FOR THE MONO VALLEYS. LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE 47 - 53. NORTHWEST WIND 05 - 10 MPH.

PRECIPITATION CHANCES FOR SUNDAY HINGE ON THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE DEAN. MOST MODELS ARE NOW SHOWING ITS MOISTURE REMAINING OVER MEXICO WITH A SMALL CHANCE THAT SOME OF IT WILL MAKE IT INTO OUR AREA. EITHER WAY, WE SHOULD HAVE AN INCREASE IN CLOUD COVER BY THE END OF THE WEEKEND AND POSSIBLE TEMPERATURE REDUCTION OF A FEW DEGREES AS WELL. FOR NOW, WE WILL CONTINUE WITH THE TREND OF DRY, WARM CONDITIONS THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF T-STORM ACTIVITY OVER THE HIGH COUNTRY ON SUNDAY NIGHT IN TO MONDAY.
