Useful resources for self-service conditions research?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Useful resources for self-service conditions research?

Post by erutan »

Hopefully this doesn't fall under no self-promotion (there's no ads and the site isn't really associated with me), but a while back I whipped up a quick static site to help out another online community, to hopefully prevent some of the repetitive questions that come up and have a sort of quick guide pamphlet when people have a question about snow, smoke, roads, etc. I'm much more familiar with 395 than the westside or Tahoe, so it's a bit incomplete, and I'm sure there's some obvious resources I've forgotten.

If anyone has feedback or some good resources to share I'd appreciate them chiming in on this thread or if they're technically inclined make a PR on the associated Github repo (all the pages are markdown in subfolders of /content/).
