Woman dies after going missing on Mount Whitney trail

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. The Whitney Portal website posted that she was found between Lone Pine Lake and trailhead, off trail and speculated that she missed a switchback and got lost. That area is timbered but steep and cliffy. Not really very far from the trailhead. No more information given.
