An upper level ridge of high pressure over the Desert Southwest will persist for the short term giving us continued dry and warm conditions. A series of weak disturbances moving across the Pacific Northwest will result in increased afternoon breezes today and tomorrow.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny skies. Daytime high temperatures in the upper 90s and evening lows in the upper 50s. Southeast wind 10 - 15 with some gusts to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny skies again. Daytime high temperatures around 100 and evening lows in the upper 50s. Southwest wind 10 - 15 mph in the afternoon.

Today for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Sunny blue skies. High temperature range upper 70s for the Main Lodge and upper 80s for the Mono Valleys. Low temperature range 38 - 48. Southwest wind 10 - 20 with some gusts to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Clear skies. High temperature range low 80s for the Main Lodge and low 90s for the Mono Valleys. Low temperature range 40 - 50. Southwest wind 10 - 15 mph in the afternoon.

That upper ridge will continue to dominate our weather bringing with it dry and warm conditions through Friday. A few degrees of cooling is possible on Saturday and Sunday for both the High Country and the Owens Valley as another weak disturbance moves across the Pacific Northwest. Breezy conditions will accompany that disturbance with 50 mph winds possible over the Crest on Saturday. Because of the very dry airmass overhead, no thunderstorm activity is forecast for the period.
