Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Forecast for Mammoth & the Owens Valley
Provided by Dennis Mattinson
Local Eastern Sierra Weather Forecaster
Broadcasting for the Sierra Wave 92.5 / 96.5 FM

Quiet weather is in store for us as that system which brought high wind to the valleys and light snow to the High Country is now over Eastern Wyoming. Temperatures should stay below normal into Friday with sunny, dry conditions prevailing.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny. Daytime temps in the mid 70s and evening lows in the low 40s. Northwest wind 10- 15 mph becoming light in the evening.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny skies. Daytime temps in the lower 80s and evening lows in the mid 40s. Light wind.

Today for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Sunny blue skies. High temperature range low 60s for the Main Lodge and low 70s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 28 - 38. Northeast wind 10 mph.

Tomorrow for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Partly cloudy skies. High temperature range mid 60s for the Main Lodge and mid 70s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 34 - 44. Light wind to 10 mph in the evening.

Temperatures will return to normal, for early June, as high pressure strengthens over our area on Saturday. On Sunday and Monday, a shortwave trough will pass across the area, with little impact, giving the High Country only partly cloudy skies. The Owens Valley should remain mostly sunny and dry.
