High cirrus clouds have moved into Central California from the Southwest ahead of a low. These clouds should remain over the High Country and the Owens Valley off and on through out the day. Still plenty of filtered sun and dry, warm conditions in the Valley. With these clouds comes plenty of mid level moisture so we can expect another round of thunderstorms over the Crest into Saturday afternoon.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Considerable filtered sun during the day turning partly cloudy in the evening. Daytime temps in the low 90s and evening lows in the mid 50s. Light wind.

Saturday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny skies. Daytime temps in the lower 90s and evening lows in the mid 50s. South wind 10 - 15 mph.

Today for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Mostly sunny skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperature range mid 70s for the Main Lodge and upper 80s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 40 - 50. Southeast wind 10 - 15 mph in the evening.

Saturday for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Clear skies becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon. There will be a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. High temperature range mid 70s for the Main Lodge and upper 80s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 39 - 49. Southwest wind 10 - 15 mph in the evening.

Sunday looks like a transition day with the flow turning more westerly and limiting t-storm activity somewhat. By Monday the threat diminishes even more and ridge building begins in earnest. Right now, the rest of the week looks to be benign with westerly afternoon breezes, dry conditions and slightly cooler temps for the High Country. The Owens Valley will see a slight downward trend in temperatures by mid week (to just above average for this time of year) with dry conditions.
