Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny. Daytime temps in the mid 80s and evening lows in the mid 40s. Northwest wind 10 mph.

Today for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Sunny blue skies then partly cloudy in the evening. High temperature range mid 60s for the Main Lodge and mid 70s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 30 - 40. Light wind.

Tomorrow for Mammoth & the Mono Valleys: Partly cloudy through out the day then clearing in the evening. High temperature range upper 60s for the Main Lodge and upper 70s for the Mono Valleys. Low temp range 31 - 41. West wind 10 mph.

Warm up continues on Saturday then stalls for Sunday and Monday as a shortwave trough tracks across Northern California. Sunday and Memorial Day we can expect daytime temps to hover in the lower 90s for the Owens Valley and the mid 70s for the Main Lodge at Mammoth. Some clouds over the mountains will be expected each afternoon with thunderstorm activity possible on Sunday and Monday for Mammoth north, otherwise dry and sunny conditions through the period.
