HST sticker spotted

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

HST sticker spotted

Post by ERIC »

Was driving to the supermarket in Hanford the other day, and I spotted a blue Toyota pickup with a "Got Mountains?" sticker on the back window. Although I do recall sending one or two stickers to Hanford/Lemoore adresses, it was pretty cool to randomly spot one on the road.

That's funny, I was nearing 11th Ave. on Grangeville in Hanford the other day and saw a light-colored pickup with an HST sticker on the back too. A quick glimpse as I passed it on the right to head north on 11th Ave. told me it was my son's principal, Mr. "O", from a few years ago. Maybe that was you?

That was my truck (charcoal Dakota 4X4). "Mr. O.", the principal, is my father. But when I was a substitute teacher in the area, kids also knew me as "Mr. O." :D

Kinda sad, but my Got Mountains sticker lost all of it's charm. They don't do well on nalgenes. Soon after I got it, pretty much all of the lettering was worn off. :crybaby:

Just like when I saw Shawn's Xterra on Hwy 14 a few weeks ago. At least we got to wave at each other. Next time I'll pull over!

I've been able to spot CinnamonGirl on the highway a few times on our way north Friday nights. Beige Explorers are all over, but that oval sticker in the back window makes it easy to identify.

In Death Valley earlier this year, we hadn't seen anyone all day. There was a dark green truck parked on the side of the road, and as I started to go around it, I noticed the oval sticker. It was Mtflyer!

Fun to spot our friends on the road! :D :D :D

Stickers? Can I get a couple, pretty please? I've been thinking about some phrase to have put on a license plate frame for a while now, and nothing so far caught my attention, but a sticker sounds cool, and "got mountains" is perfect!
