Thanks Everyone For Your Patience

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Thanks Everyone For Your Patience

Thank you so much for your patience, everyone. I know the problems we've been having over the past week have been a pain. And thank you so much for all of you who have emailed me with words of encouragement. I wish I had the time to respond to all of you (my inbox was flooded), but I figure what you all want most is for me to spend my time FIXING THE FORUMS INSTEAD! :D To add to my frustrations, my wife and I are currently remodeling our home. My computer room sanctuary had to be dismantled, so I'm doing what I can from work, and using my wife's laptop at hotspots.

I'm not quite sure we're out of the woods just yet. I need to look into some database settings, and I need to contact our hosting company to see if they've finally fixed the problem. That in and of itself can be a challenge, since they rarely get back to me about my issues... As soon as I'm sure the site is stable again, I will begin the process of moving it to a better host - one that offers a 0.01% downtime agreement.

In the future, please check the homepage for updates if the site is down. That end of the site hasn't proved to be as troublesome, so I'm thinking that's the best way to keep you all up to date on what's going on.

Stay tuned...and thanks again!
