Your "How To" Camping Guide from Megyn Kelly

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Not too sure about the sizing of that kids backpack though. ;)

And if they stayed outdoors in a tent overnight, why do they need an RV to get there? LOL.

Because El Monte paid for the video. It's how "news" like this works.

Well gentlemen, since I detect mild cynicism, it could be that Estee Lauder pitched in and the RV is full of critical supplies (you know, hair dryer, eye liner, foundation; those things you just cannot live without in the wilderness). Maybe time to reconsider your backpack checklist? Cameron

What are you talking about? I always carry eye liner and foundation in my emergency kit. I thought everybody brought these important items.

:D

Russ- you may have to use that eye-liner to write your dying last message, after you break a leg. List it under "emergency gear".

I use my lipstick for that. In a pinch, I use my lipgloss, then sprinkle it with dirt to make it more visible.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.

Ladies/Gents,
OK, it's becoming clear that if I let that long-suppressed urge to realize the inner drag queen (say, on the shore of Devil's Punchbowl?), it's likely that any number of HST folks can come to the rescue with cosmetics. Now, what else does an aspiring drag queen need? Boa? Fishnet stockings (multipurpose, no?), stilettos? Could be ushering a new era in backpacking! cg

Pink thongs and a matching pink Tiara.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
