Tahoe bike theft thieves now behind bars

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Snippet:

Four brothers from San Francisco were arrested on suspicion of going on a High Sierra crime spree in which up to $125,000 worth of mountain bikes were stolen in less than three months, police said on Tuesday.
Jesus Gallardo, 25, Sergio Gallardo, 23, Martin Gallardo, 27, and Juan Carlos Gallardo, 29, were arrested on Saturday in San Francisco and face charges of grand theft, criminal conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
The string of thefts occurred between June and August at various restaurants and strip malls in Truckee, Tahoe City, Squaw Valley and Carson City, Nev., said Det. Sgt. Danny Renfrow of the Truckee Police Department.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
