Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

West Coast upper ridge will keep our area dry and warm with above normal temperatures in the Owens Valley and High Country on Friday.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny with warmer temperatures. Highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 30s. Northwest wind 10 mph.

Today for Mammoth and the Mono Valleys: Partly sunny. Northwest wind 10 - 15 mph. Daytime temperature range 52 to 62 and lows 23 - 33.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny turning partly cloudy in the evening. Daytime temperatures will be in the mid 70s and evening lows in the upper 30s. Northwest wind 10 - 15 mph.

Tomorrow for Mammoth and the Mono Valleys: Partly cloudy during the day turning mostly cloudy in the evening. Temperature range 55 to 65 and lows 23 - 33. West wind 10 - 15 gusting to 50 over the Crest later in the evening.

Clouds will increase on Saturday into Sunday, particularly in the High Country, as a cold front moves through the Pacific NW. This system will stay well to our north so chances of precipitation are minimal. Ridging builds in on Monday with warmer conditions through at least Wednesday.
