Forecast for Mammoth & the Owens Valley

Broadcast Times 12:30pm & 5:30pm M - F

After 8 days of record tying or record breaking high temperatures, bishop and the Owens Valley will finally cool off a bit today. We can expect dry weather and some cirrus clouds overhead today then tomorrow will bring a chance of snow showers for the High Country and a 20% of rain showers for the Owens Valley.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny turning partly cloudy in the evening. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 30s. Northwest wind 15 - 20 mph in the afternoon and evening.

Today for Mammoth: Partly cloudy and breezy. Isolated rain and snow showers after midnight. Snow level lowering to 7,500 feet late in the evening. Daytime temperature range 60 - 70 and evening lows 27 to 38. Southwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 35 in town and 65 mph over the Crest.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Partly sunny and cooler. A 20% chance of rain showers. Highs in the lower 60s and lows in the mid 30s. Northwest wind 10 - 15 gusting to 25 mph in the evening.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Cloudy and windy. Rain and snow showers likely off and on through out the day and night. Snow level 7,000 feet lowering to 5,000 feet in the evening. High temperature range 40 - 50 and lows 15 to 25. Southwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 40 in town and 60 mph over the Crest.

Wednesday will bring another chance of snow showers to the High Country and rain showers in the Owens Valley, then dry and warmer conditions will prevail over our area on Thursday through the weekend as a Pacific ridge builds in over Central California.

I hope they get some snow. I have a ski-a-thon March 31st, and don't want to ride on firm hardpacked snow.

So I would like to request some snow, please [-o<

You will get your snow this morning (4-6 inches righ now in Mammoth) and next Monday afternoon into Tuesday.
