Forecast for Mammoth & the Owens Valley

Broadcast Times 12:30pm & 5:30pm M - F

The upper low that has effected our area is moving east today, leaving scattered snow showers to linger through out the day in the High Country. The storm total for Mammoth is 42 inches of fresh powder. The Owens Valley can expect clearing by mid morning with only some high clouds over the mountains.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Partly sunny with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the upper teens. North wind 10 - 15 gusting to as much as 40 mph this afternoon.

Today for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Temperature range 30 - 40 and lows 5 - 15. West wind 10 - 20 gusting to 50 over the Crest later in the day.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny with highs in the low 50s and lows in the lower 20s. North wind 10 - 15 mph.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Partly cloudy. Temperature range 31 - 41 and evening lows 2 - 12. Northwest wind 10 - 15 gusting to 45 over the Crest.

A dry northwest flow will develop over our area Thursday as that low continues to move east. We can expect an upper level ridge to build in on Friday giving us generally dry conditions through the weekend and warming temperatures as well.
