Forecast for Mammoth & the Owens Valley

Broadcast Times 12:30pm & 5:30pm M - F

A sagging trough over the Western Great Basin will provide some instability aloft, giving us a chance of isolated showers in the Owens Valley today and snow flurries in Mammoth. We could even see some thunderstorm activity over the mountains.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain. Possible thunderstorms over the mountains. High temperatures are expected to be in the lower 50s with evening lows in the upper 20s. There will be a northwest wind 10 - 15 mph.

Today for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered snow showers. Highs will be in the low 40s and lows in the upper teens. North wind 10 - 15 gusting to 30 in town and as much as 50 mph over the Crest.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny with a northwest wind 10 mph. Highs will be in the mid 50s and lows in the lower 20s. Northwest wind 10 mph.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Partly cloudy with highs in the low 40s and lows in the upper teens. Northwest wind 10 gusting to 50 mph over the Crest.

An Eastern Pacific ridge builds in on Wednesday giving us dry conditions and warming temperatures though Saturday then increasing clouds on Sunday with a chance of rain through Monday.
