A very high amplitude ridge remains off the west coast giving our area fair weather and gradually warming temps. The only issue is the passage of a dry shortwave trough to our south, creating the possibility of increased winds along the Crest and in the Valley.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny blue skies with daytime temperatures in the upper 50s and nighttime temperatures in the lower 20s. North wind 10 - 20 gusting to 30 mph.

Today for Mammoth: Sunny. Highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid teens. Northwest wind 10 -15 in town gusting to 60 mph over the Crest.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny. Highs will be in the mid 50s and lows in the upper teens. North wind 10 - 15 mph.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Sunny with highs in the mid 40s and lows around 15. There will be a northwest wind 10 - 15 in town gusting to 50 mph over the Crest decreasing to 40 mph in the afternoon.

That amplified ridge will remain over the west coast through Sunday then begin to flatten as a Pacific trough tries to undercut it on Wednesday. Dry weather will continue through the first part of next week with Monday and Tuesday the warmest; daytime temperatures are projected to be in the mid 60s for the Owens Valley and the low 60s for Mammoth and the High Country.
