A weak upper ridge will continue over our area during the day with mostly sunny skies, then a vigorous shortwave trough will drive through late this evening giving the High Country very windy conditions and snow showers through Friday. The Owens Valley will also have windy conditions and a chance of rain.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low 60s and evening temps in the upper 20s. Northwest wind in the afternoon 10 -20 gusting to 30 mph.

Today for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with highs in the low 50s and lows in the upper teens. A chance of snow in the evening lowering to 7,500 feet. Southwest wind 20 - 30 gusting to 60 mph in town and +100 over the Crest in the afternoon.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain. Highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 20s. Southwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 35 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Cold and windy with a chance of snow. Snow level lowering to 5,500 feet. Highs in the low 30s and lows in the upper single digits. West wind 15 - 25 gusting to 60 mph in town and 80 over the ridges.

A dry upper level ridge will build into Central California Friday night through the weekend, giving us fair weather and temperatures to seasonal norms.
