Plague Case in SEKI 8/28
The Superintendent of Sequoia-Kings NPs sent out a notice today (08/28) that a rodent (either a chipmunk or ground squirrel) found dead at Crabtree Ranger Station tested positive for plague.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

A lot of backcountry areas seem to have robust rodent populations this year...
