Owens Valley / Mammoth Weather Forecast

Forecast Specialist for the Sierra Wave 92.5 / 96.5 FM

Upper level shortwave responsible for the snow in Mammoth and the High Country and rain in the Owens Valley will gradually move east later today. Until then, a winter storm warning will remain in effect for Mammoth and the High Country until 4 pm today.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Clearing skies today with breezy conditions. There will be a chance of isolated rain showers. High temps will be in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 20s. Northwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 40mph.

Today for Mammoth: Windy with snow heavy at times particularly above 7,000 feet. West winds 20 - 30 gusting to 45 mph and 90 over the Crest. High temps in the upper 20s and lows near zero.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny. Northwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 35 mph. High temps in the upper 40s and lows in the low 20s.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Partly cloudy, windy and cold. High temps in the mid 20s and lows near zero. Northwest wind 15 - 20 gusting to 40 mph and 60 over the Crest.

High pressure builds in on Friday through the weekend, giving us mostly clear skies and a slight warming trend.
