Sketchbook - 2015

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Mark, Those pine cones are awesome. If you could sell these you could dirtbag all year in different hemispheres! :-k

Wow! These are wonderful. Have you ever thought about applying for an Artist in Residence at one of the parks that have the program? Yosemite and SEKI currently don't have one, but there are programs at North Cascades, Glacier, and Denal, for example.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

Nice job Ansel! I believe it was Jerbear that gave you that trail name...I remember, also had the joy of watching you draw -- awesome! Keep it up, the Upper Yosemite Falls watercolor you gifted me is in my office. Thanks for sharing your work with all of us.

Just got around to showing these to my daughter, the budding artist in the family. She just loves your style and what you can do with a minimalist palette.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.
