Snow over the weekend ranged from 12 to 18 inches at Mammoth, 3 to 4 inches in the Alabama Hills and a dusting on the Owens Valley floor. The low pressure system responsible for the snow and cold temperatures will gradually move east today, leaving us with clearing skies, but continued cold temps. Temperatures around zero degrees can be expected in Mammoth and the High Country tonight and the Owens Valley can expect lows in the mid teens.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Gradually clearing skies with high temps in the lower 40s and lows in the mid teens. North winds in the morning 20 – 30 mph gusting to 35 mph. Winds decreasing to 15 -20 mph in the afternoon.

Today for Mammoth: Partly cloudy and cold. Afternoon temps will only rise to the mid 20s with lows around zero. North winds 20 – 30 gusting to 60 mph over the Crest.

Tuesday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Clear skies and continued cool, with high temps in the lower 40s and evening temps in the low teens. North wind 10 – 20 mph.

Tuesday for Mammoth: Sunny with daytime temps in the mid 20s and evening temps in the low single digits. Northwest winds 10 – 15 gusting to 50 mph over the Crest.

High pressure moves in Tuesday creating dry conditions through Thursday. A marginal cold front moves into our area Friday creating a chance of light snow in Mammoth and the High country.
