Brief ridging over our area today creating dry conditions in the Valley. Mild temps will continue today before things turn cool and windy Friday into the Weekend. Westerly flow increases on Friday, ahead of an upper level trough due in on Saturday. This flow will create strong winds in both the Owens Valley and High Country on Friday. A High Wind Warning will be in effect for Mammoth north on Friday from 4 am to 4 pm.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s & lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 10 mph becoming gusty to 40 mph after midnight.

Today for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 50s & lows in the upper 20s. Chance of snow in the evening. Southwest winds 10 – 15 gusting to 30 mph. Gusts to 80 mph over the Crest after midnight with a slight chance of snow.

Friday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly clear with highs in the mid 50s & lows in the mid 20s. West winds 15 – 25 gusting to 30 mph.

Friday for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with high temps in the upper 30s & lows in the mid teens. Chance of snow. Southwest winds 15 – 30 gusting to 50 mph. Over the Crest, winds gusting to 90 decreasing to 50 mph in the evening.

An upper level trough moves in on Saturday/Sunday bringing with it a chance of rain in the Valley and snow in Mammoth and the High Country. By Monday, the trough moves on to the desert southwest, leaving us with mostly dry conditions.
