Massive rockfall down the west face of Clouds Rest -Yosemite

Back on June 14th there was a massive rockfall down the west face of Clouds Rest. Reported by Rock and Ice here:

Yikes! Pretty crazy to seeing those photos (and progression of photos in the video).
I remember a few years ago camped at the top of Snow Creek, waking in the middle of the night to a thunderous roar echoing through the canyon. Given the time of year (late spring) I chalked it up to a snow avalanche further up Tenaya. Only when hiking down did I realize a
chunk of half dome had fallen off that night. Kind of puts things in perspective.
