Hikin Mike

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Mike,
Sending good energy and prayers your way. You are strong and I have no doubt you will get through this.

Oh man! That is awful! Is he still in the hospital? How is his speech? I called a while back and didn't get an answer. That is absolutely bummer news. We will keep praying for you buddy!

Oh my God, that's terrible news! I'm definately going to concentrate on good vibes in for him. If someone would be willing to pm me his mailing address I think I should send a card his way!

Get well soon, Mike, and know that you're missed greatly!

Thanks to Shawn and WW for PMing Mike's address. I'm sending out an Xmas Get Well package next week! Any chance there's a Forum Get Well package I can contribute to? Maybe hearing from all of us will help turbo-charge his recovery!

If there is, count me in. If someone in close proximity to Mike could organize this, I would also like to include things for his kids. Does anyone know their sex and ages? This whole ordeal has been so tough on his whole family.

I haven't been around for a while, been busy and on the old graveyard shift...I wonder if anyone has any info on Mike? Last I heard he had a stroke. Can he talk? I have his number but don't want to bother his family, etc.

I telked to Mike for about 20 minutes on the phone last week. that guy is amazing! His spirits seemed so high and you would have thought everything was going perfectly if you didn't know what he is going through. Mike, you are an inspiration and an encouragement...keep it up!
