High pressure ridge will maintain it position over the West Coast today, creating clear skies and slightly warmer temps in the both the Owens Valley and High Country. Ridge begins to flatten on Thursday in response to low pressure moving toward the California coast.

Wednesday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Sunny skies with high temps in the low 60s. Evening temps will be in the mid teens. Winds will be light and variable out of the northwest, 10-15 mph.

Wednesday for Mammoth: Mostly clear with afternoon temps in the low 50s. Nighttime temps will be in low teens, winds will be light and variable.

Thursday for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Clear, with afternoon temps in the low 60s, light wind at 10 mph. Evening temps will see the mid teens.

Thursday for Mammoth: Daytime temps will be in the mid 50s and evening temps will be in the low teens. There will be gusty conditions to + 50 mph over the crest by late evening.

First of two upper troughs will pass through our area on Friday with chance of rain/snow in the mountains on Friday night. Timing issues still occurring on when the second trough will pass through, but right now the best bet is Sunday. Good chance of rain/snow on Sunday in Mammoth and the High Country. Snow levels could be a low as 5,000 feet on Sunday night. On Monday and upper level ridge builds in for dry weather conditions.
